Vagaro is better known among salons than med spas, and it showed up on 15 of the 389 independent med spa websites in our 2026 check. That is a small group, so read the numbers here as a close look at 15 real sites rather than a rule. We recorded how each homepage puts Vagaro booking in front of patients.
Vagaro's three widget types
Vagaro builds the booking code for you under Settings > Booking Widget. You choose In Website, which embeds booking in your page, Link, or Popup or New Tab, which adds a button. A widget can be limited to one provider, one location or a chosen set of services. The code is fixed when you generate it, so after any change in Vagaro you copy the new code onto your site again.
- 10 of 15 link out to Vagaro, either to the business page at vagaro.com/yourbusiness or to a widget link.
- 3 of 15 open Vagaro in a pop-up over the page.
- On 2, Vagaro appears only in the page code.
Link Book buttons to the service
Vagaro can create a link to a single service. In Settings > Service/Class Menu, choose Action, then Create Link, and limit it to certain staff if you want. The link opens your Vagaro listing with that service already selected. None of the 13 clinics linking to Vagaro used one. A widget limited to chosen services is the other route, useful for a treatment page that covers several related services.
What else the Vagaro sites have in common
- A Book link in the header or main menu on 10 of 15.
- A median of 5 Book or Schedule buttons on the homepage, the most of the four platforms we measured.
- Tap-to-call on 12 of the 13 homepages where we could check.
- A broken homepage link on 2 of 15, and at least one failed check on 8 of 15.
- An average score of 89.3, level with the 89.2 sample average.
Four of the 15 passed every check we ran. They are listed by city in the 2026 report.
Tracking Vagaro bookings
Vagaro documents Google Analytics setup for sites built with its own MySite builder. For a widget on your own website, the documented option is Redirect After Booking. Send patients to a thank-you page on your site once they book, and count visits to that page as conversions in GA4. Vagaro's Source report also shows how many bookings came through the widget.
Vagaro's Booking Via Google adds booking to your Google listing once online booking is on, the business has an address, and it has taken at least one booking in the last 30 days.
A Vagaro setup checklist
- Choose the widget type on purpose, and test how it behaves on a phone.
- Treatment pages use Create Link or a service-limited widget.
- Redirect After Booking points to a thank-you page on your site that GA4 counts.
- After changing anything in Vagaro, the widget code on your site is replaced with the new version.
- A Book link sits in the header, reachable on a phone.
- Booking is tested on an iPhone. A Vagaro support reply notes that Apple's tracking protection can add an extra page before the booking screen.
